About Volteec
A small, focused project built around a simple idea: UPS monitoring should be private, readable, and under your control.
The problem
Power events are rare until they are not. When they happen, you need a clear status view you can trust, without noise, and without handing your monitoring data to a cloud by default.
Why Volteec
Volteec is a read-only UPS status viewer for iPhone and iPad. It connects to your own backend, so you decide where the data lives. No accounts by default. No cloud dependency by default.
No accounts by default
Add a server URL and token, then monitor.
Self-hosted backend
Your UPS data stays on infrastructure you control.
Read-only by design
A viewer you can trust. No remote control, no surprise actions.
How Volteec is built
App (iOS/iPadOS)
- Stores server configuration locally on your device
- Caches the last known UPS state for quick viewing
Backend (self-hosted)
- Runs on your infrastructure
- Reads UPS data
- Exposes an API consumed by the app
Relay (optional)
- Only used if you enable push notifications
- Handles pairing and APNs delivery
Founder

Volteec is built by Teodor Dragan, an engineer focused on practical, real-world systems. Volteec exists for one reason: make UPS status easy to check without giving up control. It is a read-only viewer that connects to your own backend, with no accounts and no cloud by default.
Quote: “I built Volteec to keep UPS monitoring private: your server, your data, your control.”
